Update a space

Update a space’s settings by its ID. At least one field must be provided.

Payload Requirements

• At least one of name, description, is_private, default_llm_integration, ml_models_enabled, gradient_start_color, gradient_end_color, or default_agent_runtime must be provided.
• Omitted fields keep their current value. description, default_llm_integration, and default_agent_runtime can be set to null to clear them.
• If name is provided, it must be unique within the organization.
• System-managed fields (id, created_at) cannot be modified.

Body containing space update parameters. At least one field must be provided.

Fields to update on a space. Omitted fields keep their current value, null clears a clearable field, and an object value replaces the existing setting.

name · string

Updated name of the space

Maximum string length: 255

description · string | null

Updated description of the space. Set to null to clear it. An empty string is rejected.

Maximum string length: 1000

is_private · boolean

Updated visibility for the space. Set to true to make the space private (visible only to members and admins), or false to make it public. When omitted, the existing visibility is preserved.

default_llm_integration · object | null

The default language model integration and model for the space. Set to null to clear the default. When omitted, the existing value is preserved.

The starting color of the space's visual gradient.

The ending color of the space's visual gradient.

A space is a container within an organization for grouping related projects, datasets, and experiments. Spaces enable team collaboration or isolated experimentation with role-based access control.

Name of the space

A brief description of the space's purpose

Timestamp for when the space was created

is_private · boolean · required

Whether the space is private. Private spaces are only visible to their members and account/org/space admins.

organization_id · string

The unique identifier of the organization that contains the space. Older server versions may omit this field.
